Replaced a 27 year old vent that was too low and was not able to really see the back of the stove without leaning down. It runs so well and the lighting is awesome So glad I updated and it matches my GE stove in a beautiful slate finish. Very pleased.

A very good hood lots of power. we needed to set ours up ductless and with the charcoal filter keeps all the grease from exhausting onto the cabinets. The halogen lights have two levels of light which is cool but like all get extremely hot. I received a nasty burn just barely touching one as I was making a small adjustment. Overall good but again watch those lights

Love the clean modern look bright lights and 2 different brightness settings. Not overly impressed on its performance it seems it does not suck up like it should on any speed high is VERY loud. We see steam for example billowing out around the sides of the hood rather than all getting pulled up into the hood.

I have had my vent Hood a couple months now and it is everything I expected. The lights are nice and bright. My range is in a dark corner and those lights are exactly what I needed. The fan I have only used a few times but seemed to be just fine. This is my third GE appliance for my kitchen and I am very satisfied with all three.

Self installed and very easy to do. Would have appreciated having mounting screws supplied. Instructions easy to follow and mounting accessories were included. Fan is a bit loud in medium high and boost mode. Lighting is bright and clear.

I bought this and had it installed today. My other range hood was old and ugly. This is beautiful sleek blends well with my other appliances and works well. I love how bright the light is and how much easier it will be to clean as there are no nooks and crannies. I wish it was not so loud but it does its job well.

overall nice hood. looks good. In my situation it took longer to install than the directions indicated plus the directions werent always very clear. The filters rattle a little when fan is on low speed. Other than that we are very happy with the hood

Installed in January. Took two days to complete the installation. The instructions were misleading in some steps or needed to be clarified. Some illustrations were of little help which resulted in having to do some trial and error to get it right. Aside from the installation issues the unit looks good in place. One of the lights burned out about a week after installation. I followed the instructions on removing the bulb. Aggravating is the base word. A vinyl glove does help. Replacement was a bear. Aligning the pins with the holes is tedious but it can be done. I tested the light and it worked fine however when I tried it the next day it didnt work. Cant tell if the blub blew or weve got a faulty socket. A call to GE service is forthcoming. Aside from the installation and light issue the unit works great its quiet and does the job. We like it a lot.

We bought this range hood to coordinate with new appliances bought earlier. Everything works but it was so cheaply made the corners didnt fit together. Our contractor took it apart and put back together so it wouldnt look so tacky. One corner is so sharp we had to tape it. If I would not have ordered online I would have returned it. Cheaply made. Not cheap $ to buy.

Installed it myself with horizontal venting out the back. Only if the metal was a little heavier gauge. We like the four speed options and the slate color with no smudges like stainless. The metal is a little flexy which prevents the unit from being airtight. It seems to have a low rumble and the damper door on the back rattles a bit which keeps it from being really quiet.

Installed the hood yesterday to replace our 20 year old hood and to match our new GE range. Installation went well. Did replace the mounting screws that attach the hood to brackets with hex head screws and fender washers. Phillips screw heads suck and strip easily. The washers are needed because the mounting slots in the hood are wide. I vented the hood out the back through the wall. The hood looks nice and runs great.
