Microwave Great but 36 Expansion Kit problems

The expansion kit had two major problems first the holes in kit side pieces that support bracket that hold them together were not tapped to accepted the supplied screws making it impossible to assemble. Second when I did drill out tap and assemble support bracket the bracket which runs horizontally across top of unit was directly over the mounting holes to secure microwave to cabinet above microwave. This made the support bracket useless so I used duct tape to hold the side pieces together.

My wife and i decided to purchase this OTR to match our other GE appliances. Looks great and cooks well for basic microwaving duties. Two months in the door handle broke and I purchase parts and repaired. Now just before 12 months it tripped the circuit breaker when open or close the door and now it doesnt come on at all. I you look online and there is multiple sites to show you how to fix this model specifically. I also have their top of the line dishwasher stove and refrigerator all with issues. Everything looks great BUT you can figure the rest. I shouldve purchase old basic appliances and spent the extra money in bamboo flooring.

The appliance came with the new construction and it has been working well however there is a somewhat of high learning curve to operate it. We do not think the touch pad for cook time and function are very clear. We were confused at first when we put food in the microwave closed the door and waited to start it for a few minutes to allow other stove top foods to finish cooking. When we tried to start the microwave we got a FOOD message. Back to the operators manual. OK we finally figured out that the microwave has a safe gaurd feature that asks the consumer to check there is actually food in the microwave before it starts. Still you might have to punch a few buttons to figure it out.

I bought this 3 months ago and am very pleased with it. The only 2 things that I wish it had was a rack on the upper portion inside and that I could punch in any amount of seconds I wanted food to cook. It only gives the option of a quick 30 seconds or minutes. Other than that Im very happy with it.

Bought this model to replace another that we had had for many years. We were limited to models due to the previous placement under our cabinets as we didnt want to put more holes in the cabinets. The fan on this model which comes on as soon as you start the microwave is very noisy--surprisingly so.I resigned myself to living with the noise but then the microwave stopped heating 5 months from installation. It sounded like its usual noisy self but the food was just as cold when taking out as when I put it in. We tried changing power levels but nothing. I will be calling GE after the holiday to arrange service. Im actually hoping theyll just give me another one that wont be so loud

Selected and installed by builder. It works fine but the top plastic piece just came loose - after just 4 months of use. And - I dont like mircrowave placed over the range top. In my former home I chose GE Profile appliances and had the microwaver over a wall oven: They were both easier to use and keep clean.
