Front Load vs. Top Load

Front Load vs. Top Load

Front load washers offer the best overall wash performance, especially if you have heavily soiled items. For customers that work in the trades or fields, we usually recommend front load. They also use the least amount of water. The down side is cost, as they are typically more expensive than top load washers.

Top load washers offer the largest capacity and better vibration control. We recommend them for main or second floor laundry where they are not placed on sturdy concrete slab. For families with average soil levels and large loads, top load washers offer great performance at an economical price.

What Makes Laundry High Efficiency (HE)?

What Makes Laundry High Efficiency (HE)

High efficiency laundry has been available for several years now. Not only do they use about 70% less water, but HE washers also spin at very high speeds. The high spin speeds wring out much more water than traditional machines so drying times are also significantly reduced. This results in even more energy savings.

HE Laundry pairs are typically much larger capacity which means fewer loads, and so once again- less energy use. In addition to the energy savings, HE laundry offers more gentle washing and drying action so your clothes will last longer. Savings all around!

Steam - Hot Air or Lifesaver?

Steam - Hot Air or Lifesaver?

In washers, steam boosts the temperature inside the drum, causing clothing fibers to relax and release dirt. Higher wash temperatures also sanitize clothing and help eliminate allergens. Steam is released during the spin cycle too in order to keep those annoying wrinkles from settling in. In all steam washers, it's an option that must be selected so your colors can still be washed cool when needed.

Steam dryers can obviously aid in de-wrinkling. They can also be used to run short, refreshing cycles when you don't have time to complete an entire wash cycle. Steam dry cycles eliminate odor causing particles and can even be used to sanitize sick clothing or bedding.

Sleep and Forget About It with Overnight Wash & Dry

Overnight Wash & Dry

Some front load washers now come with the Overnight Wash & Dry cycle. This cycle completely launders a small load without the need to flip it over to the dyer. It's perfect for that last minute outfit you need to wear tomorrow. Just throw it in the washer before bed, wake up in the morning, and throw it on!

SmartDispense Washers Save Time & Money

SmartDispense Washers

A common laundry mistake is using too much detergent. Washers equipped with SmartDispense eliminate the guesswork and dispense just the right amount of detergent for every load. The washer contains two reservoirs (Detergent & Fabric Softener) that each hold one gallon - about 2 months worth for the average family. The washer then detects the soil level and size of the load before dispensing the exact amount required.
