Our delivery men take pride in their jobs, and it shows! We track every aspect of the process, and now exceed 98% perfect. Each customer receives a satisfaction survey that goes directly to Paul Sherman’s desk so we can keep improving. We want you to be as pleased with your purchase when we leave your home as you were when you were sitting at our sales counter!
We deliver seven days a week in the Peoria, Bloomington/Normal and LaSalle/Peru areas. If we have
your product in stock, we can often deliver it the next day (please inquire about delivery availability
for any specific day). Several days each week we offer evening deliveries (3pm-11pm) if that’s more
If your item needs ordered, delivery times vary. The fastest are GE appliances and mattresses; if ordered
by Sunday GE can be delivered Wednesday evening or Thursday, and mattresses by the weekend (as
long as the manufacturer has them in stock). England custom furniture ordered by Sunday can be
delivered in less than three weeks. Check with us for other special order times, as they can vary by
manufacturer and product.
On the day of your delivery, you’ll receive a call with a two-hour time window so you’ll know when to
expect us. That call will be in the morning for a daytime delivery, or mid-afternoon if you’re receiving an
Delivery Area & Fees
Sherman’s Customer Service department is available during our regular store hours: 10-8 Monday-
Saturday, and 11- 5 Sunday. We try to answer every call live, but if we’re assisting other customers you
may reach our voicemail. If that occurs we’ll return your call as quickly as possible, no later than the next

If you don't like your in-stock purchase you have 30 days to send it back and pick something you do like
(same type of item). You'll pay our standard delivery or installation fee for the exchange, and can select
anything of the same or higher value (no refunds if you downgrade). You can exchange once.
- A 20% deposit is required on all sales.
- The deposit is non-refundable for items we don’t stock, and returns are not allowed on these items.
- All sales must be paid in full before delivery can be scheduled. Sorry, no COD’s.
- Factory sealed stock items may be returned within 14 days of purchase.

There are a number of important things you can check to ensure a complete delivery:
Carefully measure the space where the product will go, as well as doorways, stairways and halls along the way, to ensure the product you’re selecting will fit.
We’ll disconnect and reconnect to black gas pipes with a dedicated shutoff valve accessible in the appliance installation space. We are forbidden to connect to copper (it’s dangerous and should be replaced), and must use new gas flex connectors.
Make sure you know if you have Natural or LP gas. Natural is the most common, so LP appliances must be special ordered or converted.
If your refrigerator has an icemaker or water dispenser, you’ll need a water line with a dedicated shutoff valve to the refrigerator installation space. Sherman’s can install this line at an additional charge if you do not have one.
For top or bottom freezer units with a single refrigerator door, know which side you’d like the hinges on; we can order or reverse to accommodate your preference.
Dryer venting must be rigid (not flex). Flex venting poses a fire hazard from lint accumulation. We’ll provide rigid venting from the dryer to your home’s internal venting, provided it is rigid duct.
220V Electric Ranges & Dryers
You’ll need to know whether you have a 4-prong or 3-prong outlet (3 is generally found in homes over ten years old) so we can install the proper cord.
If your unit is hard wired, you’ll need to have it disconnected and an outlet installed before we can delivery your new range or dryer.
For appliance brands such as Monogram, Sub-Zero, Viking and Wolf, there are dozens of details that must be verified before we order or deliver your appliances. Your salesperson will review an extensive checklist prior to ordering to ensure all the bases are covered.
